AIM, ICQ, and MSN are all lagging whenever I type in a message to send.
My cable internet is working fine, so I dont think it is my connection.
It all started to happen whenever I updated my startup to not include qttask (quicktime) and Yahoo Instant Messanger.
My AIM works fine when Im direct connected, but lags to hell any other time.

Also: I have ran AVG, Spyboy S&D, and Adaware 6.... all came up with nothing.
Trendmicro didnt even find anything.... :<

Anyone know what might be going on?

Are you runing a firewall?
Maybe try switching over to trillian (trillian.cc) ?

Is the lag showing up when you're actually typing the message?

Do a CTRL ALT DEL and go to the Processes tab and see if there's anything using a lot of CPU resources.

No, Im not running a firewall.
The messengers only lag whenever I am actually sending a message.
There have been a view times when someone will IM me while I am typing, and AIM kinda freezes. It slowly comes back if I wait a while, though.

I think Im just gonna format.

Yeah, Spyware may be lagging your PC.

Sometimes AIM does that if you're online a long time though, I would sign out and sign back in again.

Go to Start>Run type msconfig. Unclick "Load StartUp Items". Then go to the "Services" tab and click "Hide All Microsoft Services". Unlick everything thats on the list. Restart. That should speed things up.
