Per Sportscenter, the San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that in his grand jury testimony, Yankee great Jason Giambi admitted to using all sorts of illegal performance enhancers, all recieved from Barry Bonds' trainer.
Duh.
Story is now on ESPN.com: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=1936592

Guess he isn't all that "great" then, just someone juiced up.
I think Bonds should be stripped of his records and banned from Baseball. How is this kind of cheating any better than what Pete Rose did. Will MLB bite the bullet and realize that their hero bonds is nothing more than a juiced up phony?

I hope so, honestly. Same for Giambi, I've always hated him.
Honestly this shouldn't surprise anyone one bit, and I hope this makes Commish impose a stronger drug policy due to the rumored, and now numerous cases of steriod use.

That's two former MVPs who have admitted to steroid use in their MVP seasons. Bonds should be the third, but I doubt he'll ever admit it in public.
It's nice to know that the Yankees had to cheat last year to beat the Red Sox.

It just keeps the hate for the Yankees very strong.

Actually its supposed to be shruken testicles not the actual "dick". So I suppose he would still be the same size as before, just have small patatoes. Heh.
I wonder how many more people are going to be caught or found out doing this. I just hope no one from the Red Sox did/does it. That would really suck considering we just won the World Series. All we would need is for it to be found out that any of the players cheated to achive that goal.

Yeah too bad they didn't know about it, and are now trying to void (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/story?columnist=stark_jayson&id=1936931) it due to his admitted steriod use. Makes sense right? Since the Yankees are so evil.

Yeah too bad they didn't know about it...
They? Who's they? Last I checked, Giambi was a Yankee. I'm pretty sure he knew he was cheating when he was sticking needles in his ass, much like Alex Rodriguez knew he was cheating when he slapped the ball out of Arroyo's glove.
As for the management, they can plead ignorance if they like, but it's a pathetic excuse. They had every option to test Giambi for steroids when they signed him. It was pretty obvious he was juicing before his testimony was leaked. They decided to ignore the problem.
They'll never get that contract voided, either. And any pretense that they are trying to void contract based upon the fact that he cheated is ridiculous. Do you think they'd try that if he was healthy and producing? Not a chance.
Also, I meant that 3 MVPs have admitted to taking PEDs. I totally forgot about Canseco.

I hope Giambi gets suspended. (won't happen though)
I hated him ever since he left Oakland.
I never really liked Bonds either so I'm all for him being stripped of his records.

Bonds testified that he used steroids unknowningly.
As for the records, I don't think MLB can change this because steroids weren't actually illegal when Bonds broke 73.
Baseball didn't address the issue... Wait, I mean the Player's Union chose not to address the issue.
I bet a lot more players use it than most fans are ready to accept. Given that Bonds still outperformed all these other juiced players I think it's fair for him to retain all his records without an asterisk. I don't care how much muscle you have. You still have to know how and when to hit.

Nice job of not even responding to my post.
I addressed the article. Need me to repeat myself? They're only attempting to void his contract because he's injured, not because he used steroids.

The 'injury' that is a tumor that you are referring to was proven to be caused by massive steroid use. It's been in the works for a while, and now his testamony is just icing on the cake. You can try and say that Giambi's a cheat, I don't care, I don't even like the guy.
Why am I arguing? I don't even like the guy. Get rid of him and Sheffield please.
