FUCK, how many times is this thing going to fuck up!? i got myself a 40gb ipod and for the second time its completley died on me! i used the thing this morning and turned it off after the nice little bus ride to school. a couple hours later i get into spanish class, whip it out, and it wont turn on. now im at home and ill plug it in to the charger and, NOTHING! ive had to return this thing maybe three of four times since may and im getting tired of it. anyone know what the fuck is wrong with this thing?

My ipod has died on me close to three times...It's a product I have had a lot of problems with...

Loose connector from jarring or HD failure.
"DO NOT" ever jog with that piece of engineering marvel.

That's why I said "no thanks" when the wife asked if I wanted one for Christmas. Too many problems and I'm no way patient enough to put up with it; too much stress in my daily life to let something like this add to it. Maybe next year.

Have you done a google search for iPod fixes or problems yet? There is quite a few sites out there that list problems & solutions.

I almost bought one off eBay that was a simple software fix, but then some idiot bid it up to the price of a brand new iPod. Some people just do not have a brain on eBay.

get something from Creative. Good stuff for a good price. when my iPod dies I want a creative 60GB for $300. Or one of their micro ones: 5 GB for $250

DID YOU TRY TO RE-SET IT, its a common thing for the ipod to freeze, to re set it press and hold the PLAY and MENU bottoms at the same time. it that doesn't you, then your silly ass should have gotten the applecare plan for 50 bucks
