Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is "betting" that the next Xbox will defeat Sony's PS3 in the next generation of consoles. Round 1... Fight!

In a recent interview conducted by CNET News.com, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer issued some pretty strong words about Microsoft's position in the video game console business, and how the Xbox's successor would fare in the next generation against the Sony juggernaut.

Does he mean in America only or like worldwide? If he means worldwide then hes just stupid since the X-Box failed in Japan. Not did poorly but just outright failed. I mean even the PS1 still sells better then the X-Box over there. They might sell better then the PS3 in America but worldwide they won't this upcoming generation. Possibly if they make a third depending on how well they do with the 2nd one. Although if people have as much problems with the PS3 as they did with the PS2 then I think Sony might take a big plunge in terms of sales.
