Well, they've got to start making up for Pedro ditching them, so they got the best available SS, second best in the majors, behind Tejada. It's a good move. He's a great fielder and he can hit. Slight overpay, IMO, but that's what the market is at now. I liked Cabrera, but he was looking for 4/5 years at $8/9 mil., so might as well pay a bit more for the better player. It also frees up Hanley Ramirez for trades, obviously. It seems like they really want A.J. Burnett, but who knows.

Anyway I just heard, ok like an hour ago, that Randy Johnson has all but signed with the Yankees. Damnit, I mean when the fuck are they ever going to put a salary cap on baseball? And then they(people in charge of baseball) wonder why everyone hates the Yankees. I just hope we get Veritek resigned. I'll be so pissed if we don't.
