Suggestion: Get rid of the G4TTV forum.

Where is the relevance of the G4TTV forum other than the fact that most of us are from that forum, and the fact that Scot used to be on that channel? It is just another mere channel that can be discussed in the Television Shows forum.
I'm guessing the intentive purpose of the forum was to talk about the shows on the channel, but I've seen barely anything like that. It is ridiculous to see how many pages these complaint threads can go through. I think this Allgames.com is great, but the G4TTV forum is its poison. There is no real point in having a forum based on a channel (although the channels forum is only discussed), when we already have a forum to discuss TV shows. Please understand my point, mods, and remove it immediately.

The reason is because Scot still has ties with G4, a la his recent appearence on G4 Sports as well as his upcoming hosting of the Madden Challenge Finals.

Removing the G4TTV forum would not solve anything in terms of the posts you are complaining about. Those posts would just show up in The Bar, and no, I'm not comfortable with squelching people's voices. Make fun of them, I will. Point out how stupid it is that they are so riled up about it, sure. Stop them from saying it, no, that's not something I'm comfortable with.

I suggest that anyone who wishes to not read the G4TTV forum should just...not go into that forum. The best part is everything is concentrated there. Removing the forum would just make it disperse into other places.

I do thank you for your suggestion, and anybody can feel free to weigh in on what I've said here.

Ok, that makes since, but I still think something needs to be done. Here's another suggestion:
Make a subforum in the G4TTV forum that is all about G4TTV's official forum (I'm pretty sure that can be done on vbulletin). That way if people actually want to talk about the shows, they don't have to worry about all of the e-drama.

Well I guess we do need someone watching out for the same threads in the forum (about hwo Pape and sbk are mods now). Keep them all in one thread rather than multiple.

I only see one thread about that, and it was locked.

I do have the ability to merge threads together, something we could never do at G4. I just never needed to use it yet.

Anyway I think hes right since the topics will just go somewhere else. Lets face it most of us are from G4 so theres a 99.9% chance that what you felt about someone at G4 hasn't really changed much once you came over here. So if it won't be argueing about G4 with someone in that thread, it will be argueing with the same person about something else in another thread. Its much better to keep it at least semi contained.

Scot was part of the channel for quite some time so I don't see why we should get rid of it just yet.

I want to make a suggestion that we have a Sig/Avy/Art forum though... I was going to make another thread but i figure i'd just post in here.. It would be nice for people to have a place to request sigs/avs or post their gaming art and what not, and it might even bring some new members. I know there hasn't been much of a need for one so far but it might be cool.

yeah, no one really cares too much about the sig thing here. yeah, theres some cool ones, but i dont think we need a whole place dedicated to them.

and all that bitching over sigs and avys is so G4.
