Kingdom Hearts. What do you think about it?

Very good game IMO. The combat is still a spaztic button masher but it has a little more stratagy. I love the cutscenes, they are PS2 quality. What are your opinons on it

Yea. It has the FF style entering-battle thing. You walk up to a guy then you go into a battlefield. I really recomend buying it.

Chain Of Memories has been good to me so far. The card-based battle system was set up so it isn't a hassle or anything, so it's not as big a turn-off as some people might assume. I actually think it makes it a bit easier to control what you're doing instead of just whack-whacking away at everything. And I just like collecting crap anyway. :D

I am really not liking the whole "this random kind of card is needed to open this door here" kind of thing going on in there. Other then that, the combat is apparently decent enough for me to keep playing it.... but its mostly because I need the story for when KH2 comes around. :wink:

the only thing that annoys me is that it feels like I am playing KH 1 on the GBA instead of a new game. You go to the same levels, meet the same people, fight the same enemies, and do the same things. But the parts in the castle are cool.

If anyone who has beat it could post a plot summary it might be helpful for those who plan to play it on the consoles but don't really want to play the GBA version. I know I played the first, but won't be playing KH until 2 comes out...

i can understand why people could get upset about that. I don't really care because it is a new story. Like the dude in the hood said, I took your memories and put them into each card. So you are reliving memories from the original Kingdom Hearts on the PS2.

I also have a little spoiler for ya. If ya beat the game with Sora, you get to play a whole new different story with Riku. Instead of starting on the 1st floor of Castle Oblivion, you start on B12 (Basement 12.)

Right now I'm on the 5th Floor and I am on the Key of Guidance in Monstro. I really need to stay on those platforms and not fall into the acid when facing the boss. I am Level 18.

Areas I Beat:

1F- Traverse Town
2F- Halloween Town
3F- Agrabah
4F- Wonder Land

i havent really played it for a while. ive been playin KOTOR 2 lately. Note to self play CoM today.

Just finished Reverse/Rebirth mode with Riku.
He's so much easier to use and tougher than Sora.
Now I'm really impatient for KH2.

Some of the bosses were too easy though.
For Sora - Captain Hook, Dark Riku gave me the most trouble.
For Riku - Ansem and Dark Riku gave me the most trouble.
Everyone else was way too easy.
