I am a pizza freak. Pizza is my favorite food of all time. I don't care who made it, as long as it's pizza, it's pizza to me. I'm not too critical like a lot of people who think that this certain pizza tastes gross, or this one is too goopy. Nope! I don't care.
Luckily, my dad got a summer job as a Dominoes delivery man, so he gets 66% off on any take-out. It's so awesome!

Pizza is always good, but it can matter who makes it. Some of that crap you find in food courts at malls and stuff is just ahh :|

Yeah pizza is good. I wish I could have it more often, but I don't really want to get fat after losing a bunch of weight. I like pretty much any type of pizza except for spinich pizza. That is just gross and doesn't taste very good. My sister likes the house special or everything pizza which costs like 14 bucks for a large but has at least 6 toppings or something. Its pretty good but it fills you up really fast. Plus the underside never seems to be cooked all the way from having so much stuff on it. heh you can;t really hold it straight either since all the toppings way so much. As for my I like pepper and onions or cheese. Although I'll eat just about any type so long as its pizza. :D

I used to like Papa Johns a lit but I just get tired of the 3" of crust. If I wanted breadsticks I'd order some. On a sidenote Dominos has a new deal now 3 medium Pizza's for $15. Seems liek a decent deal.

There is one Papa Johns here that I go to every Monday and get the same thing. Large Pep with extra sauce and cheese. Whenever I order from any other Papa Johns, they do seem to be of less "taste-good quality". But the one I go to tastes awesome.

Papa Johns just came into my area. Its pretty good, seems very similar to Dominos if anything else. Just the service there is so bad.

Ya, I'm quite addicted to pizza too cuz sometimes I just feel too lazy to cook anything, which is where a quick pizza delivery comes in handy. I gotta get my favorite toppings too, pepperoni, sausage and jalepenos. :D

All this talk about Delivery is fine and good but there have to be more folks other than me that get the frozen kind, right? I personally love the Tombstones or the Stouffers french bread pizzas, they taste good and better yet...they are ALWAYS on sale hehe

Digiornos owns all frozen pizza. That stuff is so good. It is better than any restaurant IMO.

As long as it doesn't come from some chi-chi California retaurant with something like goat cheese on it, then I'm fine with it. The sad thing is that I'm in California Wine Country and opening a chi-chi restaurant is the thing to do. Damn.

Yeah which still means their expensive as hell. Well maybe not like a million bucks expensive, but I hate when stores advertise something as "on sale" and its still at least 5 bucks or more. My mom never buys it then because she wouldn't wanna pay 5-7 bucks for some pizza for one meal when she could spend the same amount of money and get chicken or ground beef and get 2 or 3 meals out of it. Plus I don't think those are ever on sale around where I live. I do like them though the few times I get to have them. Digorno(sp) is pretty good, especially the supreme one. :)

That or just get a really big butcher's knife or something. Thats what I do, or I get a big cutting knife so I can cut over half the thing at once. Then I just put my hand on top and slam down the knife. Heh I show the pizza whos boss. :D

Pizza is the food of GODS!........well at least me lol. It's also my favorite food ever! I have tried out just about the lot of Pizza Parlors in and around Chicago and I have no favorites! I like to try out different places and their pizza pies (Ninja Turtles rock!). How can you not like pizza. I think It's said to be the favorite food of most people or Americans, something like that. Oh and Chicago has the best lol.

:D

Aww, I forgot aboutthe frozen pizzas! I've tried my share of those also! Lately the Tony's brand has been pretty good, the Home Run Inn is a family favorite and Tombstone isn't bad. I can cook a frozen pizza just right! My famaily usually calls me in to cook it when we're having it. It's hard to cook a pizza just right in a home oven, you gotta have a crisp crust and cheese melted just right.[/quote]

For store-bought, I used to like Dijorno, but their crust makes me sick sometimes after I ate it. Not food poisoning sick, but just a little uneasy.

Having lived in NYC, it's tough to find a wider/better selection of pizza types than there. Out here in Cali, i haven't found a LOT of good ones, but a few. The Pizza D'amore, is run by a guy who came from Boston, via Italy. He's been out here for awhile and has like 4 or 5 locations. The bbq chicken pizza with spicy sauce is great. Kinda thin but not too thin. Always tasty!

My aunt make a HELLEVA homemade pizza! Man I haven't had any of her pizza in a few years though but when I was younger I would always ask her to make it.

Hey theres nothing wrong with homemade pizza. It can be good so long as you know what your doing. Plus theres a few options you could literally make everything from scratch like the dough AND the pizza sauce, but most people probably just buy make your own like the Bobali one that comes with an alaready made crust and sauce. Thats pretty good, although I haven't had homemade pizza in ages. Its been at least a decade I would say. I should buy one of those Bobali things when I get some money.

I do like making my own dough, because really, that's the best part of the pizza. I just put some sparse toppings on it.

Still not able to toss the dough real well, but I'm learning.

But if I don't feel like doing dough, I get a focaccia bread and use that as a dough. Works really well, too. Easy way to add lots of flavor.

Well this is pizza related...Has anyone ever made a frozen pizza and forgot to remove the cardboard off the bottom? I just did that the other day (makes about 10 times now :smt013). Well the damn thing doesn't cook well and you get pizza on top and goupy dough on the bottom. But...I still ate it..HEY I was real hungry

Hey I did it a few times an dit actually make the crust more crispy but warped lol.

I prefer to put the frozen pizza into the oven without a pan because you get a better cooked crust. I found that a frozen pizza cooked in a pan mainly cooks the top and leaves an uncooked, sometimes goupy dough crust.

EmpyII
08-02-2004, 01:45 PM
One way I found to combat the goopy crust, is to preheat the oven with the pan you'll be using. that tends to get that crust crispy, with less wory about making a mess in the oven.

But then do you really wanna listen to advice from a guy who messes up a frozen pizza :-P

True
08-03-2004, 01:47 AM
Haha.

Yeah, preheating the over does make for a better frozen pizza. but usually i'm in a hurry and frozen pizza is the first thing I grab and the over is not on at that time.

lol yeah I hear ya there...after a night out hittin the pubs I was one to "pre-cook" a pizza in the microwave then throw it in the oven for a few more minutes. Hey when the munchies come, they don't wanna wait for it to cook proper :)

Pffff forget preheating the oven I just cook the pizza a little longer. I mean it it says cook it for 15 minutes just cook it for near 20 and you should be fine. I mean why wait to fully preheat the over for 15-20 minutes when you could just actually cool the pizza for 5 minutes longer and the result is the same? Heh as you can tell I don't have alot of patience. I want instant gratification, and I want it NOW DAMNIT!
