Or talk about how much hype this show gets when it's seriously lame. I hate all these counter culture morons buying Zim and "Know your roots" t-shirts from Hot Topic and then claiming to be "different"

The show was alright but was hardly anything special. Sorry but Nick already had a controversial television show that was pulled for being too "out there" and was easily 1,000 times better then Zim could ever hope to be.

Ren & Stimpy win everytime.

ren and stimpy was funny...but some parts were disgusting....

Zim is funny....but not all that....its more for "counter-culture" morons.....

I agree with you whole heartedly Captian N.

Anime pwns all.

I think it's seriously overrated. It never made me laugh really. Of this generation's Nick shows I'd say the Fairly Odd Parents do a better job at random humor than Invader Zim.

I seemed to like the setting and art style more than the actual humor itself.

I mean sure its funny at times but the humor usually consists of "LOL RIDE THE PIG MEATS OF EVIL" and such.

Reminds me of the average humor I see on the Go-Gaia forums.
Remember to note that most people of that age/intelligence that spend a lot of time there like the show.

Zim was pretty good, IMO. But even the writers admitted on a DVD featurette, every script they wrote was "infected" with at least some pig or moose humor.
