311 is my favorite band right now. I just finished my collection of all their cds. They are a great band, because they take rock, and add some rap and reggae to it. I can't stop listening to their cds. Those are the only cds I'm listening to right now. Mostly because I am going to see them in an outdoor concert tomorrow. Just wondering if anyone else likes 311.

Like 'em. I thought their song was the only good thing that came out of Adam Sandler's 50 first dates. So basically I paid $80+ bucks (dinner, 2 tickets plus drinks, etc) for a theme song (plus there was no chemistry with the girl who was my date for the night).

Eh, I voted "kind of". I really love their older stuff. Love it. Their self-titled album and Transistor were great albums. Didn't really care for Soundsystem, and I haven't bought an album of their's since, so I only here the occasional single on the radio, and none of them really catch me the way that their older stuff does. They seem to have lost their edge.

I agree. Their older stuff is good. Music, Grassroots, Self-Titled, and Transistor are my favorite CDs, but their new stuff is pretty good, too. They sort of shifted their style starting on Soundsystem.

I just got back from the concert, and it was a blast. It is the best how I have been to yet. All of the band members are so energetic and upbeat on stage. There was a lot of positive energy flowing acrosss the venue. Nick Hexum looked so laid back while performing. They are amazing.

Plus their special collection release came out few months back.
311 -great to see them still going. But slow tracks just dont fit.
So used to amped up tunes maybe.

Same here. I just like to lay back and relax, and listen to that cd.
