I went to get a case for my iPod today, and quickly located the Showcase black model which works fine. It has rubber around the edges so the iPod doesn't seem as flimsy and breakable. The entire face of the case is clear and see-thru, and only the Click Wheel is bare. On the back there's a little window of clear plastic so you can see the serial number of your shit.
While at the Apple store, I noticed they had headphones, so I picked the best choice. They only had the standard included Apple earphones, some other brand's earphones, Bose traditional headphones, and Altec Lansing behind-the-neck ones. Remembering my headphones research, the only option was the Altec Lansing ones, because the Bose were $150, whereas the others were only $50.
So, I get the Altec Lansing headphones and my case. My total was a little over 80 bucks .. not too bad. However, upon returning home, I notice something weird about the headphones. They look fuckin sweet, they're the same color as the iPod so I won't look nutty, and they sound awesome. But the don't have the padding over the actual part of the headphones that plays music. WTF?! How can this be?! I listened to music with the headphones for about an hour, and after 10 minutes of listening my ears hurt - bad.
Basically, I'm wondering if they sell those pads for headphones separately, because I'm the market for them now (fuck you Altec Lansing), and where I could get them. Thanks for any help.
