I was browseing a Bad Religion Fan site (http://www.thebrpage.net) RSS feed, and they hade a new news link, "Download BR animated videos". Now, I remembered some other sites had made some really crappy BR flash videos before, So I was thinking it was that. I clicked the link, and it stated
"These AMV's (Animated Music Videos) were acquired from http://www.animemusicvideos.org .
Please give them a visit if you enjoy these AMV's."
I thought to myself "Oh boy.... anime.... great, people tainting Bad Religion songs with crappy anime videos.". But since it had to do with bad religion, and i was interested to see how good - bad they could do with it, i downloaded them.

Now, as i was susprised by some, very pissed off at some of the others. Most of the videos did not really convey the song at all. Videos such as the Animatrix one with Fertile Crescent, "Fertile Crescent" is a song about the US and Iraq durning the first Gulf war, I can't see that with what the video was about, but it was at least closer to the concept of the song with it's army war theme. Others, like the Chobits and Naruto one, had NOTHING to do with the song they were set to, nothing at all.
The Street Fighter one had to be the worst out of them all (And I thought the Naruto ones would, that show is a pile of shit), a song about how some americans feel we are better then the rest of the world with religion on our side, with a video with two fighting "guys" and hitting punching bags..... sorry, does not work. Also, the Sonic one was the video game CG videos, with a really crappy font with the lyrics of the song on top, it's just plain poor.
Overall, (as you can tell) i'm not impressed, some were "ok", others really really sucked balls. I don't really know why anyone would want to make something like this anyway. even if you "like" anime i don't know how these (with any group) would be enjoyable.Has anyone else even seen these type of things before, because i really don't get it.
