Update from my roomates - Nate Thompson, #19 on the Seattle Thunderbirds (drafted by the Boston Bruins) is the man who caused the blood. Evidently he got a perfect punch on the other guys nose. The kind of shot that makes the whole arena go, "Ooohhh." There eveidently was blood everywhere, on both players on the ref, and a trail back to the locker room. Also they tell me Thompson rarely fights, he's more of a "pretty boy" player, but when he fights look out.

Meh speaking of blood on the ice Lightning prospect Evgeni Artukhin is probably in trouble after hitting Patrick Leahy from behind and giving him a concussion along with a pool of blood on the ice last night.
