Went through Hell to get this game...But it was worth it!

So I got up, ate Corn Pops, and then got dressed, ran over to the stop and caught the bus. I get to my GameStop at about 11:15, and the manager over there, knowing that I was coming, told me right off the bat "The UPS guy skipped us so it's not here yet." I was like ok, I can wait---not thinking that it was going to take 3 hours for the UPS guy to come back. So I hang out at the mall and visit with the employees since I know all of them anyway. After the hours of waiting and seeing kids constantly come in and leave with a big ol' frown on their face because A) the game wasn't there yet, and B) they didn't reserve it anyways, the UPS man comes back at like 2:30 and after a long talk with the manager and stuff, she tells me that I'm going to be hired once holiday season comes around. So in the final anaylsis, I went into the store for a game, and came out with the best football game I've ever played, and a future position at GameStop. Hell of a day!

i had to do that when final fantasy ix came out. my friend and i got to the electronics boutique before it opened (the mall is open an hour before the stores, because a lot of old people go there to walk around for excercise) thinking that there would be a huge line for this game. that's the way it was for final fantasy viii...but now that i think about it, the dreamcast was released the same day so it was probably more for that. eb finally opens up, and the lady tells us that the ups guy usually doesn't arrive for another two hours. so, we had to do the same thing, just be mallrats. after visiting every store we wanted to we sat in the foodcourt, and watched for the ups guy to walk into the store. for me though, the wait was worth it, it was a wonderful game.
