yes is a very fun game. Unlike most online games you have to fight rats then move on to cats, 10 mins into this game your fighting a group of thugs no sweat.

and here are some of my many screen caps.

I used to have it, kinda got boring, everything's really repetitive, and there's no storyline.

Yeah but every MMORPG I know of to date has had that problem. Nice that you don't need to kill rats>sewer rats>big rats>giant rats>gargantuan rats, etc. Before you can go out and do stuff though.

Only MMORPG that I can think of that has rats is Everquest and it takes about 20 mins for someone to leave the newbie area in any MMORPG if you know what the fuck you're doing.

Most MMORPGs don't have the problem of storyline, that's pretty much the second thing made. Things can get repetitive in them, but you need to do something else... there's nothing else to do in CoH besides get enhancements and fight, boring if you ask me.

Well I just remember the damn rats from UO, EQ and DAoC. Hell even SWG had the diffrent womprats. But generally I found they have a "larger" version of creatures as you get leveled up. At least on the older ones, I'm thinking some of the newer MMO's are trying to break away from doing that, and have unique graphics for all their diffrent monsters and stuff, which is good. I'm sure that future MMORPG's will be trying to work more on their story as well, or at least have the option for that.

How long did you play for? I've put in about 60 hours so far and have yet to be bored.

I actually think there is more of a story line than most MMORPGs. Right now I am in the middle of trying to stop a gang war and the Clockwork keep building assassins to try and kill me since I foiled their plans so many times.

The game is very rewarding. Every level you get something useful and cool. Plus, the character generator is the best of any game EVER.

Yeah, there's a little storyline, but someone needs to explain how superheroes just came to be one day.

Most MMORPGs have novels of storyline into every class, race, diety, city, continent, faction, etc.

I'm surprised you didn't find it repetitive after 60 hours, all you do is go kill said amount of people, or go into an indoor place and kill everything in there, with the off chance of looking for a couple of boxes.

Sure, you get new powers, but that's pretty much all that's new.

Good point...it doesn't have as much back story as some other MMORPGs (like FFXI) but (to me at least) I feel more a part of the world than I did there.

I know its alot of the same...I guess the game appeals to my inner comic book geek. I've been reading comics since I was a kid and this is the first game that I feel really captures the comic essence. You get to create (or rip off) a superhero from scratch and take out tons of bad guys.

The other thing is the game is very solo friendly. In FFXI I started to hate it because after level 15 I couldn't go anywhere without a group...all so I wouldn't get wasted by a rabbit. Then I would get in a group that would fight an epic battle with...a goblin. The reward? 200xp if we were lucky.

Oh well, I'm sure I will eventually get tired of it but right now I am having a blast. I just wish City of Villians was coming out sooner.

I can't wait to get this game, I've heard it is pretty much the best mmorpg out there right now if you are looking for something different. Gotta save up for the monthly fees though.

Well I am attempting to play it "casually", so anybody else who may be into it let me know. I do have characters high enough to make a Super Group. Could even be an All Games SG, probably have 2 members, lol.
