I've known about this show for a couple year now, but never watched it until recently. I'm starting to like it. I rented the season 1 best episodes dvd and everyone I've watched so far has been really good. If you've never seen it, it's about an astronaut who goes through a worm hole and is stuck in another galaxy on a ship with a bunch of aliens (the short version of the story). It's on Sci-Fi real early in the mornings and there's a mini series coming this fall on Sci Fi, check it out.

I never really liked it. The show seemed like such crap to me. The characters didnt seem believable, the effects arent that great, and the script is horrible.

Farscape kicks so much ass.
It's in my top 10 all time shows.
Great writing, continual story development, top notch acting.
And I don't care what anyone says Chiana was frelling hot.

Ditto on both accounts. I stopped watching the network after that, but have started watching Stargate again, but that the only show.

i'm sure they cancelled it for the same reason the wb cancelled my favorite show "angel." the production costs were just too much, for what they were getting back. which was probably decent ratings, just not enough to pay the bills for the show. it's a shame good shows go down the drain like that, just because they aren't on one of the big three networks.

I too loved Farscape and all it took for me to get hooked to it (because I thought it looked stupid at first) was a 6-8 episode chain reaction when they still had those. Definitely was one of the best shows on television.

That's true, but they also announces/promised a 5th season and then pretty much yanked it with out warning. But the mini series looks promising (more so then the past Dune mini-series)

Maybe if the mini series gets enough viewers they'll bring it back for another season.

I used to hang out on the boards at scfi.com when the show was on. On the board there was a debate on to have the producers stop being mean to John C. or to keep abusinig him. I think the debate ended with the desire to keep putting him through the ringer

Wait this Friday? Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! :smt013 I've relatives visiting on Friday and I'm taking them wine tasting. I haven't seen them in years and now there's a marathon. Ah nuts. I know, I know, I'll tape it, but I just wanted to veg and watch.
Hmmm, I wonder what that says about me that I would almost rather watch a tv show than hang around with relatives from out of the country.

This show rocks... I'm not even a sci-fi lover, at all, well I wasn't until I saw this show anyway. There was a marathon last weekend from like 12-5 in the morning and I watched all 5 episodes... It's cheesy, but I love it. That really sucks that this show got cancelled... and hopefully they do get enough viewers with the mini-series and bring it back...

It was cool seeing Ben on TSS. I wish he would have talked about the show a little more, but it was cool he brought all those guns with him. I'm still counting the seconds til Sunday night.
Also I'm hoping the bring back Craise and Talon (I know I spelled both wrong) in the mini series.

Yeah it was great. I guess its just because of the different focus that TSS has, as being a more tech oriented show than entertainment (tho' with the move, I think there is more "entertainment"). But then I could be wrong......nah. And I'm with ya, I'd rather see a 5th season than a movie, but considering what's happened with the production of the show, if the movie does well enough, maybe the show could restart. Also, consider the possibility of be a show based on Aeryn & Crichton's kid.
Ever get the feeling that its just the two of us in this thread? :smt042

I think we are the only ones, oh well. I know with Firefly they was to do 2 more movies if the first one does good. That means no new season for atleast 4 years. At best after the mini series we'll have to wait til at the earliest late 2006 for a Farscape movie. I guess it's better than no Farscape at all though.

There has to be another season that's the best show on sci-fi channel... Bring it BACK!I'd be surprised if The Powers That Be over at SciFi will bring it back. They've always been budet cutters over there. They've cancelled so many good shows because they really didn't want to spend the money over there. They used have some good original programming, but now they've become home to crappy horror films (Frankenfish anyone? Thank God that was on tv so I didn't lose more than 10 minutes of my life on that one). Come the holidays, I sure that they'll have marathon reruns of The Twilight Zone, The Puppetmasters 1 - 12, and other third rated shows (Ok, Twilight isn't a crappy show, but they've reran that series so often, its no longer special). The only good points in their favor are the Stargate shows and Farscape. Buuuut, I admit that I could be just a bit bitter about the cancellation of Farscape :smt002

I'm kind of against a Farscape movie. I don't want whole season of story crammed into an evenshorter period of time. I like having 22 episodes for stories to develope. Not that I wouldn't go see a Farscape Movie, but I think they'd have to make it too mainstream for the studio and provide too much backstory for it to make sense to those who've never seen the show and don't understand the style of the writting. But any Farscape is better than no Farscape I guess.

Supposedly the miniseries got a 1.7 rating, and everyone on the SciFi boards is saying that's a good score. Not bad when probably noone from New York or Boston was watching it either. It's airing again on Sunday at 3pm EST (during football) good job SciFi.
