Comics Anyone?

Hey is anyone read any good comics lately? I have been getting into the new Astonishing X-Men books. Joss Whedon is doing a pretty good job. I reccommend them.

This is a little O.T., but Joss Whedon is supposed to be at this weekend's(?) Comic-Con. Looks like he's going to be showing clips from his new movie.

Preacher still is the best comic I've ever read.
A close second would be Peter David's run on Incredible Hulk,after he left the book tanked bad.

Yeah its was a great show. The movie should be great to watch. I'm glad he's keeping all of the characters in. I was afrarid that he'd drop Sheparhd Book for some reason.

I used to collect X-Men and the Uncanny X-Men. I started collecting when Gambit returned, and Prof. Xavier was missing, and they had to fight Cerebrus. It was awesome. After that, I either lost interest or just didn't have the money.

I really liked Firefly and also Angel. I too skipped out on the Buffy series but I think that Angel was great.

i guess i would fall into the whedonists category, i think anything the man touches is gold. even titan a.e., which i loved before i even knew he wrote the screenplay for.

I'm don't mean to use that term as derogatory (sp?), but this couple never miss an epsiode of his shows (though I don't think they liked Firefly as they never talk about it, must check on that), they turn off the ringer on the phone, hold buffy/angel weekends where they play tapes of the shows, even writing fanfiction.

I did employ similar tactics and got them hooked on Farscape :biggrin:
