i'm a huge fan of the dark tower series by stephen king, currently i'm reading wolves of the calla, and have songs of susanna on the shelf next to me to read. So if we have any other fans, post here :-) maybe we can discuss the book some times.

Good series, but I kinda got burnt out after Wizard and Glass. I know I'll pick it up and fininsh the series now that Song of Susannah is out and the Dark Tower comes out later this year.

I got the first few books for Christmas but haven't got into them yet (too much writing of my own to do), but I am looking forward to them once the rainy season starts.

The Dark Tower series was a fun read but I prefer The eyes of the dragon. To me that was his best work at fantasy fiction.

Love the first one, really liked the second. Read the third about half way and just lost interest, though I had a lot going on. Nice to see he never gave up on the series, was hoping he wouldn't get to caught up in other novels and would be able to keep it going.

Yea, i finished 'song of susahna' a while ago, but took a little break before reading the final one. True, true, by the time i got to the 3rd, 4th, i was a little down on the whole series, thinking it was getting sorta...boring. But SK picked it up and well, i'm still reading it. 'Eyes of the Dragon' is what got me started on the Dark Tower series actually. After i finished reading it i was looking for something similar, and well, the series was there. Hmm, anyone know about the movie? or is it..movies?

all I know is its doubtful a movie would happen. The book is just too expansive for a movie and everything they would have to cut out of it would just make it very very confusing.

I read the first two so far, but I'm trying to break them up, so I'm reading a different book right now before I start wastelands, good to see more than just me and a few friend's have actually heard of them.
