It's a mix of things.

1. I've only seen 10 or so (although I haven't checked much lately, so it might be more) titles worth checking out on it.
2. I'm not all that interested in paying $250 for it (I don't care if it's a value pack or not - I simply have no desire to pay that much for something with alot of stuff I don't want out of it). Along with the $40-$50 games...
3. I didn't pre-order.

I think that's it mainly. I do have interest in it - but maybe later in its lifespan.

I'm speaking in the long run - and my DS list is over 40 titles, currently.

Granted, I haven't checked the PSP's complete lists in well over 2 months...so it could be larger. I dunno though.

I havn't seen any games on the psp that make me wanna buy it. Future Zelda, Mario and Metroid titles already have me leaning toward DS. PSP games look like the same stuff I can play on PS2.

That is the biggest problem with it. Alot of games will just be downgraded ports from the PS2. Who really wants that?

Also the extras mean nothing. I have a DVD player for movies, and a $250 MP3 player for portable music.

As of right now there is no good reason to own a PSP rather than saying you have one.

However, these handheld games are at the same par (if not near) as console games. And even then, to my knowledge most of the $50 games are done by EA (figures)...and I believe most of the rest of the [current] titles are @ $40.

But even then, it's pretty easy to justify given the overall quality of some of these [upcoming/] games.

I remember GBA (at launch when I got mine at launch date) games were $40. 1st party games were $30 though.

Most of these games are definitely better than GBA games that were $40.
But $50...eh, That extra $10 is a bit too much when I could get a Console game with probably more replayability. (Not talking about Lumines, MGA, or Racing games :P)

Well, Metal Gear Acid, Lumines, Wipeout Pure, and Ridge Racer are all $40. NFSU:R is the only game that would be a racing game that is $50, and who wants to buy that over Wipeout Pure anyways?
