Cowboy Bebop returns for a Remix.

Bandai has recently announced that they will bring the the re-mastered Bebop Perfect Collection DVD's that were only available in Japan to US, which is basically brand new episodes, english dubbed, and will be titled "Cowboy Bebop Remix"- There'll be six discs, with, of course, Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound, Also will include the TV show and movie trailers, and even cooler, the Bebop promo spots from C.N. Bandai is also arranging to get quote "interviews from the creators, writers, voice actors, and more, with English and Japanese commentarites, we're shaping up to have a Very special US version of Remix." each Remix DVD will cost around $30, and Bandai has announced that Volume One will hit the shelves this Summer. Also- If you haven't heard, there's a Bebop game in the making, which is said to be released in the fall. But- that's not all, marketing manager of Bandai Jerry Chu announced, quote: "There will be MUCH more Bebop items and never before seen episodes coming 2005", if you haven't seen much of Bebop before, you certaintly will this year.

I probably won't be getting the Remix discs since I imagine RightStuf will be having a great deal on the original release and I don't need remastered and interviews if I can get it for a fraction of the price.

Heh, these aren't like the "Sessions" DVD's. These are episodes that were ONLY released in Japan, and will have the english dub.

-Cowboy Bebop REMIX to include Session 0 and Other New Features

According to the latest issue of Anime Insider magazine, Bandai Entertainment will be releasing Cowboy Bebop REMIX, a new Cowboy Bebop special edition, starting this summer.

REMIX will feature a completely remixed and remastered Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS surround sound and remastered video under the direction/supervision of Shinichiro Watanabe. REMIX will include new extras such as interviews with the US voice actors and actresses, collections of trailers, promos, the Session 0 extras (Japanese Interviews witht he staff and cast, story digest of the second half of the series, Tank music videos) and more.

REMIX will be released over six-discs with the release schedule tba.

I recognize that Bebop is much better but Outlaw Star was just so much fun to watch.

You see I didn't like Samurai Champloo that much. It actually had some really decent characters, but the story wasn't that great and the number of filler episodes was just sickening. I mean that one episode with the meteor and zombies just reminded me of Sealab 2021 where the whole thing usually blows up at the end.

fuck! this is why people torrent shit, thats $180, for 6 DVD's. thats as much as my fricking dvd player cost in 1997.

But anyway, ive read tons of stuff about this, and im not quite clear what they mean by "new content" besides extra's. totally uncut 45min long episodes or something?

I think the current version is already uncut. I think it's just better sound and video plus all the extras and commentaries. Sounds a lot like they saw EVA Platinum version and decided Bebop could use one too.
