I just picked this up the other day. It's uber old and was on sale for $19 and I remember thinking about getting it way back in the day.

It's actually a pleasent suprise. I guess that was Sony's answer to Zelda. Some things kinda annoy me like the need to have water or having to constantly repair your weapon. But overall I'm liking this game.

has anyone else played it and what were your thoughts on it?

I've got Dark Cloud 1 & 2.
It's a solid title that if given a chance is very enjoyable.

Ive played it before. I found it to be a great game. I never got around to beating it though. I thurouly enjoy how you can take your current weapon and synthesize it into your new one. A great idea i say. I havent played the second one yet. But from what my best friend said it is a much better game.
