i saw it over at my friend's house and i must say this is one of the best domestic cartoons ive ever seen. there is some japanese influence but not overly done. is there a dvd out that i can check out? anyone know?

I just got into it recently too. It's shockingly good.


DVD-wise, a quick search of Amazon.com came up with season one, spread across two DVDs (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=dvd&field-keywords=teen%252520titans&search-type=ss&bq=1&store-name=dvd/ref=xs_ap_l_xgl74/102-5811833-1831331).

Hella lot better than Hi-Hi-Puffy Ami Yumi show.

I don't particularly like Robin, but the rest of the cast is pretty charming so I dig it. The Japanese influence is hilariously awesome.

I dont like Robin, either. If they dumbed his character down, Id change my mind. He is far too powerful.

The anime refrences are freakin awesome. Im deeply in love with Raven. OMFG she is teh hawtz0r.

I watched the first 2 seasons....after that......I have been working or doing other ish. But Teen Titans is pretty good. I love when they do Puffy Ami Yumi's theme song in Japanese not English.

Again, I don't know how they could pull THAT off being the strongest, when there's a telepath/telekinetic, an alien lifeform that manipulates solar energy, shapeshifter(animals), and a cyborg on the team.

Robin's the strongest because he's the leader and after working with a hardass like Batman, he had to get to be a bit of a hardass too.


Maybe to also teach the childrens that "you don't have to have powers to be super"?


...Nah, Robin just sucks. Although, I really like the Slade character and how he gets Robin to go nuts.

I don't know how much they're sticking with the comics, but Slade had his own comic series titled 'Deathstroke the Terminator'. He's definately not Batman.

I watched one episode as it was on before the Clone Wars new season and I just found it intolerable and had me asking, "What's the appeal?"

I thought that for a bit too, but then stuff happened that made me say, "Oh wait, no."

Like Slade getting killed when Terra flooded the place they were with lava. And then Slade coming back to life by the powers of Raven's father -- By the way, I want more episodes in this story-arch, it seems really interesting

I think the show is great. My hats off to a show that actually makes Robin look semi-cool. I loved the recent episode where he went to find the martial arts master and the other four put on his costume. Good stuff.

The only time I thought Teen Titans was interesting, was the clip that was on Robot chicken. That clip was very funny.

Now the show itself? Not so much :-D

Not just decent, it's pretty kickass if you ask me. One of the 2 shows worth watching on Cartoon Network (other being MEGAS, which doesn't even have a time slot).
