Just thought I'd share these pics of what I've just gotten, to satisfy the childhood dream of wanting one...

Awww yeah...

I played all the old Sierra adventure games (and Lucasfilm and Origin) on a Sound Blaster card with the Adlib chip on it, and it just didn't cut it. A friend of mine had a Roland MT-32 and I would always take my games over there (or at least my save game files) and listen to how awesome the music sounded. I wanted one for myself, but my parents couldn't justify the $550+ cost of the unit just to play PC games when I already had an adequate sound card.

So finally, I got tired of wishing I had one and GOT one off of eBay and got all the interfaces to hook it up to my old P-166MMX with 64MB of RAM and a Gravis Ultrasound card already installed. (With MS-DOS 6.22 of course!) My old favorites only sounded this good at my friends house...

...'Scuse me while I go recapture Jesse Bains somewhere in Lytton.

I don't know why, but at first I LOL'ed at the Gravis gamepad.
But then I saw the Roland box.... I envy you.

I never liked the police quest games though, I don't know why. The space quest ones though are pretty nice.

EDIT: G4 pad on table, ha.

Free drink coaster.

And I use a PS2 Dualshock on my main system. I just use the Gamepad cuz I already have it and it works with a gameport and not a USB slot.

I used to have a gravis pad like that, but it resembled a SNES controller. On the d-pad you could screw in a joystick, but with it out it used to hurt my thumb.

I lost the joystick attachment to the one I have.

It's the Gravis Gamepad Pro, with GRiP (whatever that means)...
