Final Fantasy XI

Ok, i am aware that there is already a Final Fantasy thread, but this one is for FFXI only. I want to know if any of you play. If so, what server do you play on, what city are you in, and most importantly what your characters name is. Mine is:

Character: Danzigg / Dalos
Server: Bismark
City: Windurst.

Danzigg is a lvl 27 black mage / lvl 9 white mage. Dalos on the other hand is a character i just started only a few hours ago, and is only lvl 4.

Edit: This applies to both PC and PS2 users. I just decided to put the thread in the PS2 forum because im a PS2 player in FFXI.

I normally play the new Final Fantasy games when they come out, but I'm not into the whole MMORPG thing.

i did play it when it first came out on the pc...in fact, bought a new $200 video card just for it. unfortunately though, i was bored after a month and cancelled my account. unless you are playing with friends you know, it's just not fun.

I've been playing the game since December but I am quitting this month. I'm at the point now where I have to level to get into the rest of the game and I really hate it. Not so much the leveling but the reliance on parties. It takes hours to find a party only to have it disband after you get 2 kills.

The game is such a love/hate thing. It is a great MMORPG but after level 25 the difficulty ramps up and it becomes way too difficult and the fun level drops.

I played on both the PC and PS2, but when I heard Asherons Call was getting an expansion, I cancelled my account and started AC back up again

I pretty much gave up on playing that game. I played it for about 5 months, and then realized that I didn't have that kind of patience and it actually didn't interest me much. Therefore, I cancelled my Content ID in June, and am planning to let my character get automatically deleted come September.

I must start up again later on, though.
