I do a lot of video effects. The thing is I only use about 1 out of 100 effects I make or find. This effect, is a hard effect to do and to make it look great, takes about 1 hour for every 1.5 secs you use it.

Most of the time, I put effects I don't use in a folder on my computer and they never see the light of day, but this one is too good not too show. So I give you "Lightsaber Bat".

How do you do a lightsaber effect?

Adobe After Effects (I got it cheap with student discounts and stuff.), a really cool rotoscoping technique, and time. Like I said, to do it right it takes about one hour for every one-point-five seconds you have a lightseber on. I did that in about an hour, so I think if I was really going to use this in a video, it would look 100% better. (and it being a "saber" and not a bat" would help too)


P.S. Yeah Scot, I am about 100 times better now then I was last year at this time, and I still feel I can be ten-thousand times better then I am now.

P.P.S. Ok, I did two, two second videos that took ... you guessed it one hour 30 minutes. This is how it would look, if I wanted to do it for real.
