View Full Version : Howard Stern vs THE WORLD

As of late it seems like Howard is fighting an uphill battle against everyone. From the FCC, Clear Channel, Religious yahoos, political types, parents groups, just all around ass clowns. I've been listening to Howard every morning for at least 15 years & I've never gone out & done something stupid that Stern could be blamed for. Sure he has a very sexual & filthy show. That's why you like it. He says a lot of things that most of us would like to say or what we were already thinking. Does he go over the line with some of the things he says or does? At times. Does it end up hurting anyone? Not really. I recall a time where a guy who was doped up on drugs called Howard one morning & was on the bridge & was going to jump. Howard kept the guy on the line long enough for people passing by that area to assist him on getting off that bridge ( & not by jumping ) as well as long enough for the police to arive. I was also listening to Howard on 9/11 at work & it was from HIS SHOW that I learned about WTF was going on. I was glued to the show more than I had ever been before. He has a very enjoyable show if you'll ALLOW yourself to enjoy it. I look forward to him returning to the airwaves this coming Monday. Though I do enjoy hearing some of the old 'Best Of' shows, I don't think he needed an entire WEEK off for the 4th of July. Return to us, Howard.

I just get sick of Howard blaming Bush for this. Correct me if I am wrong but I thought the ones that have been spearheading the anti free speech, mommy state, do anything Soccer Moms say members of the Democratic party such as Lieberman, Gore, Clinton so on and so forth have been pretty anti entertainment. Actually the one to blame here is freakin Janet Jackson for flashing during the damn SuperBowl when every kid in the world is watching. She incited this mess.

Yeah, the Janet Jackson thing started all this mess. Though it does seem odd that as soon as Stern started questioning some of the things Bush has done, all of the sudden he's getting fined like crazy.........& for stuff he did YEARS AGO. Take a look at Sterns site every once in a while. Read the total BS of how Stern is getting fined for things that OPRAH has talked about on her show & not a damn thing was done about it because she's to "Well liked" by the public. Stern may be placing more blame on Bush than maybe he's responsible for but I still think Bush is involved somewhere in this mess.

Correct me if I'm wrong here but aren't the 6 channels Stern got pulled from also in major cities that are in swing states? If thats true then that seems a little to convienant if you ask me.
If anything though Stern has gotten soft over the years. I mean watch his movie and then watch his show on E and you'll see a BIG difference. before he said every dirty word in the book, now he tells people your not allowed to say those things. Hes been on for about 20 years so if you don't know the type of program he has by now then your a moron. The only people complaining are the people who never have, and never will listen to his show.

I used to listen to Howard every day, but when he started bashing the President non-stop I stopped listening.
