Did anyone catch this on Sci Fi last week? It was a 3 hour documentary abour M. Night. I started watching it and I found it kinda cheesy. They tried to make it seem like M. Night is connected to the afterlife or something, and that he's all weird and secretive about things. I made it through the first hour then fast forwarded through the rest. I was dissapointed.

No I didn't think it was. Before watching it I was expecting a real documentary, not a fake one.

At first I thought that MAYBE it could be a real documentary but I was extremely doubtful... then the HORRIBLE acting of the kids waiting outside of his gate and the camerman guy just slaughtered it

I have to wonder what the mindset The Powers That Be at the SciFi channel has. They've got a lame reality show, Scare Tactics, the Dune Series, and know they've got a movie coming up called "Raptor Island (They came hunting a terrorist. What they found was terror). I have to wonder if they're looking just to churn out a good portion of their programming to save money rather than take the time to create quality programming and earn money by attracting more viewers with the quality shows. Except for the Stargate franchise, I don't watch as I really don't want to watch all 230 Puppet Master movies and similiar ilk (huh?). To be fair, I think they're doing a fine job with Stargate SG1 and the Atlantis spinoff seems to be fairly solid. I am even looking forward to the Battlestar Galacatia series remake. I just think that they need to spend the money and take the time to create quality shows. They've done it in the past with Farscape (I'll admit a basis in favor here), Good and Evil, The Invisibile Man just to name a few.

That was the thing that pissed me off the most!

Well they have that big miniseries I think it will be coming in December, EarthSea. That seems kind of cool. I know if I remember that I will at least check out the first episode of it. Sci-Fi is pretty good though with all the vampire movies they show, I just watched two last weekend I think it was, and sometimes I think they show Highlander movies which I have started to get into. I'm still a little bit confused behind the premise of that though like how they all existed in the first place and why they seemed to only have been born in 15th century Scotland. Then I don't get is if you kill another immortal do you get just his power or all the powers of the people before him? So if I have killed a 100 immortals and you have killed a 100 and then I kill you have I now killed 200 or just 101? Oh well I'll figure it out someday.

well your total count is only going to be 101, but you will have all the knowledge of all 201 people (remember you did just kill a guy who already killed 100 people himself) and all of their skills. Oh and dont watch Highlander 2 it just confuses you more (for some reason it doesnt fit in with any of the other movies AT ALL!!!!)

Well I think I have seen the second one but I forget. I have seen two of them. I think it was 2, or at least the one where McCloud kills Kain, which is 2 I think. And then the one where McCloud and ummm whats his name? The guy from he series where the series guy kills McCloud to power up to kill that other guy that McCloud thought he killed 400 years earlier or so. So.....yeah. The whole thing seems pretty cool though and I am going to try and watch the series if I can ever find it on, which I don't think it is on reruns anymore, and the movies when they are on. If only I didn't feel so confused. :???:

The first Highlander movie is great. The story is original and acting and action are done very well.
DO NOT WATCH any of the other Highlander movies. It totally deviates from the original story and is total SH!T.
The TV series goes back to the original story of the first Highlander movie and is good for the most part. I was disappointed with the series finale because, even though it stays true to the story concept, it deviates from the true continuity.

Maybe M.Night can write/direct the next Highlander and unravel all the loose ends and continuity problems.... but I doubt it...
