....honestly, I can already tell that this season is gonna suck. So far, I can't tell what's supposed to be funny and not funny...anyone else watching it?

The Simpsons was awful, unsurprisingly. It represented everything that's wrong with the newer episodes. Just rehashed plotlines, with an unnecessary celebrity guest. Sad.
Family Guy blew, too. I was wondering how long it would be before they resorted to celebrity guests. And James Woods was infinitely funnier on The Simpsons, many years ago. I laughed at the Raiders ending, and Stewie yelling at the hos, and that was about it.

American Dad sucks already, going to take a shower instead of watching it.

I didn't see what was wrong with Family Guy. It was a good episode to me. It was pretty good up until the song with James Woods, but clever before that, and had some good stuff afterwards. I just think people like to say FOX ruined it.
American Dad only sucks because it has to be compared with Family Guy. It's still funnier than most of the crap on TV now.
Simpsons suck, I'll give you that.
The War at Home had more misses than hits. Really predictable.

the new family guy episode(s) prove why they should have just left it to fade away in reruns.
and malfunkshon, american dad sucks because theres funnier stuff on tv than it. who cares if its funnier than most shit, its still shit.
didn't even bother watching the war at home because it looked like a trainwreck.
and the simpsons have sucked for quite a while now, the last season sucked, this season sucked. meh.
they really need something like futurama to bring back at the quality level it was at before, but i know that will never happen

I actually thought American Dad was funnier than Family Guy tonight. It makes me feel dirty.

Thank you. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks everyone's being elitists. The episodes recently have been as good as the old seasons. Just this episode wasn't so great, it relied more on cut-aways than an actual plot. It should go back to its old form soon.

Yeah I actually noticed that. I thought it was funny for the first 15 mins but when Woods actually came into the picture...it was just...um...well...it just felt meh.

The thing I never completly liked/got about Family Guy though was Brian. I mean ok yes hes a talking dog, but EVERYONE is just a-ok with that. I mean if you went somewhere and saw a dog walking upright and talking would you just be like oh hey whats up? Or would you be like holy fuck a talking dog! That and hes always dating human woman. I mean where exactly is he hoping to take these relationships?
Simpsons was ok really, but was just pretty old. I mean this is what like the 3rd or 4th time Marge has left Homer in the last 3 seasons?
War at Home was decently funny. I thought it was going to be a little better then it was, the cut aways kind of annoyed me since there were so many of them. But I think it will get better over time.
And I like American Dad. I don't compare it to Family Guy like most everyone else here, so I can enjoy it for what it is. I'm not saying its the best animated show to ever air, but I like it.
What pisses me off though is that FOX cancelled Quintuplets. Fucking bastards! Thats two great Andy Richter shows they have pulled the plug on now. Damn I wish one of their employees would go on a violent shooting spree.

Meh, the Brian thing is annoying at first. You get used to it after you realize how Goddamn funny he is.

The Brian thing isn't really annoying because it's a TV show.

Family Guy has just entirely been run into the ground by lazy writing, indulgent self-referencing, and just a total lack of funny. They should have left it in it's grave.
But, atleast it's better than American Dad.

Thank you for questioning that a cartoon show might not exactly comply with real life, I mean, god forbid that they should make a cartoon unrealistic.

Don't bother to open your mouth if you aren't even going to know what your talking about. I know its not realistic, hence the talking dog, I just don't like how everyone just seems to think 1 talking dog in the entire Family Guy world is nothing out of the ordinary.

Did Charlie Brown think it was out of the ordinary that Snoopy often pretnded to be a WWI pilot? Not that I recall.

I only really liked the ending and the "Im pooping blood tonight" part on American Dad. I didnt think the Family Guy was that bad, but I never liked every episode of Family Guy so it didnt turn me away

I can accept that because it's CARTOON.
You know what? Forget it?
I'm not going to argue 5 pages with you over the fact your trying to apply logic to a cartoon.

The Simpsons have been on for what? 12 years? What did you expect? Who can stay interested in a show for that long? Bound to get tiring at some point...

You don't like the Simpsons? What are you a communist, jk.
Most of the best people have gone on to do other stuff, but I still like it for the most part.
Family Guy was cool, but now it's like the writers just watched the old eps too many times before they wrote new ones. Still alright though.
American Dad... it's hit or miss.
Stella: not a fan, but I have only seen it twice. I have a question though. Did I miss something? Because the only way I can see it being funny is if in the first episode they came out of a spaceship.

I'm not about to get into an argument with you over the fact you have to over examine a fucking cartoon.
