Ubisoft announces Watch Dogs 2K21, Far Cry 2020 and Assassins’ Creed 15

Remember when Ubisoft released Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell games until we were sick of both franchises? They’re at it again! Today was the Ubisoft Forward E3 event. It was a lot like their previous E3 events, sans the live audience and a few key executives. After demonstrating Track Mania and Just Dance during the pre-show, the main event got underway. The first big reveal was additional details and gameplay from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. While some of the visuals look spectacular, we are still looking at many of the same game mechanics that have been with the franchise since Assassins’ Creed was released in 2007.

In Valhalla, become a legendary Viking raider on a quest for glory. Explore England's Dark Ages as you raid your enemies, grow your clan's settlement, and build your political power. Check out the trailer.

Ubisoft knew it needed an open world game like Grand Theft Auto in their library. The first Watch Dogs game dropped the player into a sprawling recreation of Chicago. You play as Aiden Pearce a hacker seeking revenge after the killing of his niece. The game is played from a 3rd person view and your character can travel on foot or steal any vehicle in the game. The sequel “Watch Dogs 2”, was released a few years later with the action taking place in San Francisco. In the games, you use your smartphone to control trains and traffic lights, infiltrate security systems, jam cellphones, access pedestrians' private information, and empty their bank accounts. Both games have been fairly well received with average review scores hovering in the range of 8.

Watch Dogs Legion takes the concept further bringing you a finely crafted recreation of London. Check out the trailer.

In the near future, London is facing its downfall: the people are being oppressed by an all-seeing surveillance state, private militaries control the streets, and a powerful crime syndicate is preying on the vulnerable. The fate of London lies with you, and your ability to recruit a resistance and fight back.

This time around, developers have given you the ability to recruit any NPC in the game to join your movement.

The game delivers a never-before-seen gameplay innovation that allows you to recruit and play as anyone from the entire population of London. Anyone you see can join your resistance and has a unique backstory, personality, and skillset. Unlock unique perks to personalize each member of your Legion according to your playstyle. Level-up each character within classes such as Hacker, Infiltrator, and Assault. Customize them further with unique outfits and iconic masks.

The other big reveal was teased a few days ago. Giancarlo Esposito made his debut as El Presidente, the main villain in Far Cry 6. Giancarlo has been in dozens of fims and TV shows. He is best know for his chilling performance of Gustavo Fring, the drug kingpin from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. The trailer shows Ubisoft’s commitment to cinematic story telling and quality voice talent. If you enjoyed Far Cry 5, you will probably be very excited about this next installment coming in February on PlayStation, XBOX, PC, and STADIA.

Of course Ubisoft had a lot more to show off. Updated versions of Just Dance, some new content for Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and a lot of updated information on the new free to play Battle Royale game HyperScape - Check it out now in Beta.

You can watch the entire video from Ubisoft Forward here. Don’t worry if you didnt make it in time to get a free copy of Watch Dogs 2. The server crashed and Ubisoft has said everyone that has a Ubisoft store account will get the free games they promoted.

There is a FREE WEEKEND with the updated Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint! Download the PC game and play all weekend! Use the free version of GeForce Now if you don’t have a good PC!
