All Games Radio is proud to announce the live airing of the 4th Annual
Game Audio Network Guild Awards LIVE from the Regency Ballroom at the San Jose Fairmont Hotel on
Thursday, March 23rd, at 11PM Eastern/8PM Pacific.
Bobby Blackwolf, host of
The Bobby Blackwolf Show, a weekly live interactive talk show about video games with a resulting podcast, and himself a proud GANG member, assembled clips of the nominees in many of the categories and assembled them into a
two and a half hour preshow that will air at 8:30PM Eastern/5:30PM Pacific, preceeding the live broadcast.
The G.A.N.G. Awards system has been set-up to be the most complete and fair system possible. As long as it qualifies, anyone can nominate any game for any category. Once all of the entries are gathered a team of people spend countless hours digitizing video and collecting audio, data, etc. in order to make it easier for the Advisory Board to go through everything. The 40+ person Advisory Board then goes through each and every entry and votes on their top 5. All of the votes are then calculated to get the final 4, 5 or 6 final nominees.
By being able to listen and see each entry it allows all voters to make a decision based on the quality of the submission as opposed to whether or not they've played or heard of the game before.
Then, the entire GANG membership votes on their pick out of those top 5, with each nominee having an audio, video, or website sample linked.
Musical acts scheduled to perform are:
- The Video Game Pianist
- Charlie Malone of Supernova Sound featuring DJ 8-Ball
- Steve Adams and Desha Dunnahoe
- Laurie Robinson-Fratianni
- Irwin
- The Guitar Heroes of WaveGroup:
