A lot of GameStops are selling the game early now...sadly mine isn't one of them (yet) even tho I brought them the store number and stores phone number of a gamestop store selling it.

It sounds like they didn't really have direct permission from Activision, but they did it anyway because many mom & pop stores in the areas broke street date. GameStop has to compete with them now.
