The built in Wifi adapter for my laptop died and I have this extra TRENDnet Wireless N Gaming Adapter that I want to use as alternative. The problem is I can't get this thing to work. I know it's possible to use it on a laptop or PC because people say they are doing it. I just don't know how.

Ha, I used to use my Xbox wireless adapter on my PC. Then one day it decided not to work with my PC but still let me game wirelessly with my Xbox.

Did you check the wireless setting on your laptop to see if you need to switch anything off or on?

What exactly is the issue? I'm guessing this is one those deals you connect through ethernet, which then connects you to the wireless. Is your ethernet connection enabled in Windows?
