What is your proudest gaming achievement?
I'm listening to the CAGcast, and someone sent an e-mail in asking them "what their proudest gaming achievement is?" CheapyD said, beating Dracula in Castlevania for the NES, and beating Metroid, and Wombat said, getting all 1000 achievement points in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. As you can see, they don't have to be "difficult" per se, but just your proudest gaming moment.
I have a few. As far as difficult gaming achievement, beating Twisted Metal: Black with every character was basically the most BEAST I have ever been in a console. For a PC, being number 2 in the world at Sumo Volleyball was cool. Just for coolness, I guess beating a level in Aladdin on the SNES with the TV turned off was cool, but honestly, not that difficult.
What about you?

My proudest gaming achievement is still alive and well.
My best friend used to destroy me in every year of Madden. I mean horribly. I would loose by an average of 40 points. When Madden 2002 came out I went after him with a new strategy, play conservative. I play as close to an NFL team would play as possible. I don't chuck it every down, gamble with massive blitzes or go for it on 4th down unless I am close to the end-zone. From 2002 on I have beat my best friend 75% of the time and all the games are close.
2nd would be beating Metroid for the NES. I was lost for fucking hours.

1000 Kills in Counter-Strike in less than three hours. Don't ever ask me to play like that now, though. Those days are long gone.

Mine might be the fact that I just own so many games on so many systems. Nearly 200 games for seven systems. Heh as well as my one GameBoy game. Thats pretty good I would say since I have only been collecting them for ten years. Also that I still have a working N64 that is now ten years old. Can't say the same for my barely over two years old XBox. Can't MS make a damn thing that actually works for longer then ten minutes?

Damn.Had to think about this one of a minute...
Back in 2001, I beat Tekken Tag Tournament at an arcade at a local amusement park here in SLC in a record time of 4:59.When I went back to that same amusement park last July, my record was still standing.I was shocked to say the least. No one has managed to beat my time in the past 5 years.
Then there was another time when Mortal Kombat 4 came out at the arcades back in 1997.After mastering my skills at the game using Quan Chi and Reiko, I actually went undefeated against 24 people in a row against random dudes. Here I was, a 17 year old kid beating dudes in the 20's along with more seasoned vets of the Mortal Kombat games. It was one of the best days of my life to say the least.

I'd also say that getting the full 1000 on Oblivion would be mine. I'll have to add the 250 from Shivering Isles to have a complete set.

More recent ones, beating many of the levels in Call of Duty 2 on the hardest difficulty.
Beating Prey on both difficulties in one weekend was one for me. I never finish games that fast. I loved the story so much I wanted to play through it twice.
Also beating Vice City without using cheat codes.
An older one, back when Mario 3 came out I finished it in about 3 months. I can't remember beating a game from start to finish before that game without cheat codes.

I think I'm gonna play the hell out of that game this weekend so I can finish it before Shivering Isles comes out.
